Melina Kanakaredes

Melina Kanakaredes (born May 25 in 1970) is an American actress who is best known for portraying the role of detective Stella Bonasera on CBS's police procedural drama CSI: NY, Dr. Sydney Hansen and Lane Hunter and Dr. Sydney Hansen on NBC's Providence drama as well as The Resident's medical thriller The Resident. In addition, she received praise for her debut television part on Guiding Light on CBS as Eleni Cooper. She was also a part of 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians, The Lightning Thief and Snitch. According according to reports, she's working on a project with Vlas and Charley Parlapanides, who co-wrote Immortals for an adaptation from Elisabeth Kubler Ross' autobiography The Wheel of Life. She is also a producer for an upcoming television series called Gods & Heroes.
